1st Elimination/American Idol's Andrew Garcia Gives His Final Performance

The American Idol Season 9 Top 9 'Results Show' turned out to be one of the most tense in Idol's 9-year history. Last week, the American Idol judges used one of their rare 'saves' to keep Michael Lynche in the contest after his moving performance of Kate Bush's "This Woman's Work." Because Michael Lynche was saved, the rules state that there will be a double elimination the following week.

For the first elimination, Ryan Seacrest asked Casey James, then Aaron Kelly and then Andrew Garcia to "please stand up and come with me to the center of the stage" where he proceeded to tell Andrew that it was the end of the road.

Andrew sang "You Give Me Something" by James Morrison for his final American Idol performance.

  1. WHY!!!!!!!! Well i feel bad for you and i don't know if this is your real page or not but Thank You for all you did! I know that it sucks that you are off but the good thing is, if there is any good thing in this, you get to be with your daughter again and that is the best thing in life to be with your familiy! I wish i was able to be with my son right now but i have to be in Iraq and i understand. We watched American Idol over here at nights when we worked and we all thought you were the best!! You always made the song yours and we would of all voted for you if we could. Thank you for being Andrew! I know you might never see this but we all thought you were great and American Idol was something we looked forward to every wednesday and thursday over here and we all had our own thoughts about everyone but you were one of our favorite artists ever since you song Straight Up.
